It was easily fixed, I reseated the ribbon cables inside, it was just a case of a dirty connection on the cable between the module controller board and the voice boards. If you've opened yours to replace the VCO part recently, you may have already done that. But try it before getting too far into diagnosing in a deeper way and looking for a more difficult problem.
