I just went through this decision myself and compared the features of the two using their PDF manuals. The thing that Kenton has is velocity and aftertouch support. But I later found out it is only monophonic velocity. It would still be nice to have, but the Kenton interface with shipping is about $100 more than the Encore. Tony from Encore said he would revisit the JP-8 midi kit later this year and consider the possibility of adding monophonic velocity (currently supports breath controller). If you're in the US and mono-velocity isn't important to you, then the Encore seems like the easier way to go. I just bought two of them myself. But I still had to go to Kenton for my soon to arrive Memorymoog retrofit. I noticed your post looking for a CS-80. A week ago I was about to post to the list that I saw one selling for $1499 at (www.generation.net/~musicr/Keyboard.htm), but then came all the AOL vs AH problems and the list wasn't working right for me. Now I see it is gone. But you should keep links like these around and visit them often to catch rare things when the pop up. -Elhardt _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com
