A light blow would knock us out cold, believe me. ;-) When I converted it looked cheap that´s all, but then again I´m used to the european market that could be likened to a bloodsucking gang of bandits doing business...I´m not better than the next person. >The guy at my favourite record shop put it this way: >"I could sell stuff on eBay at ridiculous prices, but if I sell it locally >chances are i'll >see that record again down the track when the new owner gets tired of it, >which means >smaller profits in the short term but a stronger business (and reputation) >in the long run" I suppose this is a great philosophy from one angle, but turn it around and it means no fresh blood to your local market assuming that this is not a oneway phenomenon. If you give something out, something else(perhaps even better) will come back to you. Some of my favourite things in the studio would be impossible for me to own if everyone kept it within their community. Just today I got that lovely Variophon from Germany in the mail. I doubt it if there is another one in Sweden..? >But opinions ARE like arseholes.... ;-) and what a fine collection we have here at AH!
