Date: Fri, 30 Aug 2002 22:42:44 -0700 From: Daniel Walters <HerrDW@...> Hello all - I just bought a replacement for that Jupiter 4 I never should have sold, and after some quality time with it I realized there was a non-functioning slider. I was hoping a good cleaning was all it needed, but after a few shots of CaliLube MCL I discovered a break in a conductive "trace" (for lack of the proper name) - so it needs to be replaced. I seem to recall a thread some time back that sliders are not made to to any real hole spacing standard, and besides travel length and value (50k in this case), it's a crap shoot on finding a replacement unless it's from the mfg. So, my question, does anyone who has replaced JP-4 sliders know of a quality direct replacement, and a source/part #, etc? I do plan to call Roland US in hopes that they may still have some, but another source would be great, especially if it's at a "component" price and not a "parts from the factory" price, since I'd like to replace all 20 sliders. Oh, and if anyone has a few NOS ones lying about, I'd happily take them off your hands! All help is greatly appreciated! Regards, Daniel
