Ricardo, Thanks for the tips. I am familiar w/ how the HPF makes it sound thinner and the basic layout of the voice. I think that I have been spoiled by the glossy, internal f/x on a lot of newer synths. The sounds I was shooting for were similar to the ones used by Nick Rhodes (Duran Duran) created and used on "Rio." I have fattened up quite a few sounds by detuning them.
