First off, I'd suggest purchasing the molded triple DIN jack that Roland uses in their synths. You can buy these from the Roland parts department for around $5. I bought a whole pile of them to use with my MIDI-retrofitted synths. I drill pilot holes with a template then use a 3/8"-to-3/4" stepped "Uni-bit" to open the hole up to the proper diameter. The results look very professional. You can see a picture of my P5 install at: http://www.retrosynth.com/docs/p5/p5midi/p5_7.jpg. In my opinion it looks far better than using individual panel-mount MIDI jacks. While I haven't installed the JP8-MK MIDI kit, I've installed Tony's OBX kit, and installation was easy and straight forward. A good bit easier than the Kenton kits. The only part even a tad bit challenging is mounting the MIDI jacks. You should have no problem. -Cary
