is it normal that when i turn on my jupiter 8, whether it is cold or has
been on for a while and i'm just resetting it, its volume starts very low
and gradually ramps up to full volume in about 20 or 30 seconds?

if this is not normal, please advise. i have schematics and soldering iron
in hand....
thank you all!!

SORRY i forgot to include below that this JP8 is a 220v version, powered
through a new, very capable step-down transformer to 110v. could that have
something to do with it? else, what should i start checking?

thanks

Nah, the normal is having no output at all until the tuning sequence is
complete (some 25 seconds, more or less), and soon as you see "--" on
the display, you are in, and at full volume!

Well, I use an old, stinky, dusty step-down transformer to reduce 220 to
110V, powering both a Memorymoog and a Jupiter 8, with no problema at
all...
