VCO1 issue Jupiter 6 (Europa)..

VCO1 issue Jupiter 6 (Europa)..

2014-01-20 by <antplate@...>

Hello, this is my first post in this group.. but I just wanted to say my Jupiter 6 (with Europa mod) is not well, so is currently being looked at -

Heres how the initial problem sounded - dead voice chip (on Voice Board 1) was correctly diagnosed and the faulty voice chip swapped BTW

However, theres still an outstanding issue of no sound output on this board which (seems to be at the filtering stage, and isn't the voice chips) so thats being investigated at the minute.. If anyone has any info or similar stories/resolves I can pass on that would be helpful, thanks.

It's not a Jupiter as such, but I have a similar issue with an MKS80,
and it's happening on both voice boards.
After a little probing around I found that the level converter chips on
both boards for the addressing were not working.
After changing those, one of the address lines is not doing anything.
This comes straight from the onboard processor.

Seeing as it's happening on both boards, it suggests an issue on the
main processing board.

Hopefully I'll have a bit of time to probe further this week. Luckily I
have another 2 MKS80s that I can swap boards with.

I'll let you know what else I find.
