All about the Roland Jupiter-series

~ What are the VCA and VCF 1/4" jacks on the back for?  What kind of
~ application are these used for? (live, etc.).

Assuming they have the same use as on the JP8, they should enable you to
control the VCF voltage and the Amp voltage of the synth with pedals. Thus,
increasing the volume at the VCA and alter the filter settings (cut-off
only). In live situations this could create great FXs, as you only have one
pair of hands to control the knobs AND the keys at the same time...
