Good morning all, (as I write this,)

I recently acquired a Jupiter 6, perfect working order, but with one
problem. It has one, (1,) yes, one, (1,) bent pot.

Is there anyway I can fix this myself, or should I just ask my local music
shop to fix it? If so, how much would such a procedure cost?

I found an amazing little kid's toy that some of you may dig.
Its called a Kool Shades "Electronics" drum set and is quite capable
of creating some very down right and dirty electro style percussions.
There are 4 pads on the unit, which are bass/Tom/Snare/phaser, and
I'm 99.9 percent sure that the sound creation is analogue. Its quite
an interactive machine, the sounds are similar to those Tama drum
brains. The pads are velocity sensitive in that the harder you hit
them, the higher the pitch of the drum tones. The 2 best sounds on it
are the phaser and the snare which each have a dedicated knob to
change there tone, for the snare (very white noise sounding) there is
a decay control and for the phaser (which is actually a tone which
has its pitch swept by an Env.) also has a decay control, setting it
to "low" produces those classic "blip" sounds in old skool electro.
The only thing I had to modify on it was to add an audio output, i
just disconnected the wires going to the speakers and attached them
to a jack. If you come across one, probably at most major toy stores,
i definitely recommend you score one, I mean I paid $10 Australian
for mine :)
Trigger inputs are possible, I managed to trigger the sounds by
shorting 2 of the legs of each transistor the pads are connected to.
I guess just inserting an analog switch IC between these 2 points
would work quite well.
