I have a Jupiter 8 with MIDI retrofit that I'm thinking of trying to trade
for
either an E6400 ultra sampler or perhaps an Oberheim Xpander. The Jupiter 8
is
"fat" and all, but just not quite agressive enough for the type of music
that I
produce (techstep, hard drum and bass).

Having never heard an Xpander, except by reputation, I'm curious if you guys
think it's sound would be more fitting for this type of music than the
Jupiter.

Cheers

p.s. - i've only been on this list for a couple of days, and already i can
tell
that there are a lot of people here who really know their stuff!

The Xpander has many talents, but very hard & aggressive sounds are not
its forte. I use the XT for those :)
