All about the Roland Jupiter-series

I got this Jupiter 4 not too long ago, and I remember saving a sound on it
before, but for some reason I can't save a patch now.  I don't know if it's
something i'm doing wrong or if it's the keyboard, so I wanted to see if any
of you knew.

So I have a sound I want to save, I'm holding down the red "WRITE" button,
then holding down the black "PROTECTION" button, then hitting the
"Compu-Memory" bank number button.  I've tried doing this the reverse order
too, but still no go.  Is there something that must be on or off for the
write to work?  Any info would be very apprciated.
