All about the Roland Jupiter-series

Yesterday I was in the local Guitar Center and they had a mint condition
Roland Jupiter 8 for $2000, is that a little high?  Or is that the going
price?  I played it for a while, it is a very cool machine, and it starts
sounding cool real easy, like whatever you tweak or turn makes it sound even
cooler.

Because I am going to put a JP-8 up for auction, I have been looking at what

they are selling for lately.  It depends on whether it has a DCB interface
or 
a 3rd party Midi interface or none at all.  If it was a later Roland model 
with a DCB interface (in good condition) I would normally say between 
$1500-$1800.  But everytime I see one sell, the price seems to keep going
up. 
 On ebay (and they are always above the real value on synths like this) the 
last five I kept track of went for:

$2125 (with MD-8 DCB interface and case)
$2000 (3 minor electrical problems and scratches)
$2325
$2350 (with Midi, mint physical condition but some flakey buttons)
$2876 (Encore Midi Interface, mint condition)
