This grounding issue stuff really baffles me.

I use a Kenton Pro2000 Midi-CV interface which recieves Midi
from my sequencer and outputs CV into my Serge via the CVI interface module.

V/Oct tuning is rock-solid, gates & triggers and Midi clock all work 100%. I
haven't done
anything to ground them to each other. No ground hum issues... and nothing
is grounded to any 'mixer'
(the audio outs of the serge just go into a regular patchbay).

I'm getting a rack of MOTM stuff next month and have been advised by Paul S
to ground them to
the Serge PS using the STS supplied banana plug/grounding plug.

Could somebody simply and easily explain why these things need to be
grounded and what happens when they're not
as in the case of my Kenton.???
