Someone posted something on AH the other week about how portamento is
implemented in IIRC Reaktor. I can't remember the exact details, but
it inspired me to route the CV out from my little Roland SH09, via thee
VCFQX, to, uh, another brand of voltage controlled Oscillator. I used
thee VCFQX because I figured that its low range setting would work best
in this application. However, even with the cutoff frequency turned up
all the way, some lag/portamento was evident. I found the high range
setting to be more effective. It works very well! Quite amazing in
fact! Better still is the very strange effect when you turn the "Q"
control up.
Amazing the stuff you would *never* have thought of, innit?
