Well, the saga of my Serge panel is almost over.
First of all, I sent it to Kevin Lightner for repair.. I wish to hell I'd
done this years ago. He fixed the filter, rewired the VCA pots, cleaned all
pots, calibrated it, defluxed it, replaced some improperly colored LEDs..
all for about the same as STS's minimum bench charge. In fact, I was
surprised at how reasonable Kevin's rates are: his hourly rate is only a
few bucks more than our local amp technician's.
But anyway, for a variety of reasons this baby is up on Ebay now.
