Illustrious group,
I am happy to report that Serge is alive and well and living just south of Paris with his
family. We met at his Paris studio a few days ago and walked along the streets where he grew up
and then later lived for many years after SMMS. At this studio was a very nice Bosendorfer grand
that was gifted to his father by the Bosendorfer company. Wow, what a piano!
I was able to deliver all the letters that people had sent to me as well as extend the
personal well wishes that others had asked me to pass along.
The funniest part of the meeting was when he offered a gift to me of a... you guessed it, a
Serge T-shirt. Even funnier was that he bought it on eBay. He told me that his kids never
understood what their father did for a living and when they saw this T-shirt, they finally
understood that their dad had made a significant contribution to the world in some way. His son
even started taking orders for the T-shirt at his high school!
