just got back from Fed-Ex overnight collection at the airport and
the repaired panel has literally been powered up for 5 minutes...
I'll leave it to settle down overnight and then give it a good
workout this week...
I've yet to get a full report of the fixes from Rex - he's drawing
one up for my insurers this week hopefully.
Kevin Fortune mentioned a chip failing on the PCO and the DADSR
problem was more a design issue than an actual fault... I was trying
to get very short micro-envelopes out of it and the design just
wouldn't allow such short blips without errors... Kevin & Rex put
heads together and changed a few components and the timing errors
have apparently been reduced although Kevin did admit the design was
more for longer type envelopes and recommended the DSG's for shorter
envelopes.
Changing the pots on the NTO Freq, NTO Variwave, UAP Gain seemed to
have fixed the other problems - there were also loose unsoldered
wires that accounted for the dead Portamento In and crackling UAP
output. Those were all fixed by Tony Allgood before I shipped to
Kevin.
