Millions of your earth-years ago, Beaver & Krause released the 'Nonesuch
Guide to Electronic Music', and a followup LP set some years after
that. The idea was a basic audio tour thru oscillators, envelopers, etc.
To my knowledge there's nothing like that out right now.
Is there?
I was thinking about this as a CD / webpage project for late '04 / early
'05 ... in case I got nothin else to do....
The format would be very basic - possibly hundreds of 20 or 30 second
clips of very basic sounds & techniques with no fx or dolling up, just
so people can have a clear basic resource to learn from. And if a
booklet proves too expensive, then a web-page for add'l text, pictures,
explanations, etc.
Any interest?
