New One here..

Hello all,
I am new to the list and have been reading the archives, drooling
at the pics, etc.. Ive had a bunch of DIY and new modular in the
recent past, but was forced to sell due to $$ reasons (common problem
I guess : ) I played with a few panels of Serge in the past and was
impressed by the sounds I was coming up with - hooked! I love the
density of the Serge, the multi usefulness of the modules, and the
variety of the modules. (But why no more triple router! : (

So at night, in my spare time Ive been thinking about how I would
best piece together a 3 panel system for years of fun and
exploration. A real "Desert Islander." I went to the serge planner
site and played a bit and posted a pic to the files section
(SMserge.jpg) of what I came up with. Only thing I might want to
improve on is stereo panning capability, but Im sure with what I have
placed there would be ways to implement this.. Theres always a
way! So if you get a chance, check the pic, check the modules,
lemme know what you think, lets start a cool discussion. (TKB vs an
8-stepper and a programmer + others for ex?) (more mixing?) (Sorry,
the WAD stays!)

Anyone know the current Rex/contact/shop vs custom panel leadtime
situation?

Lastly, I have had a copy of the Gold book for a few years sitting on
a shelf as a pile of looseleaf paper. (bought on Ebay) I finally
decided to get it bound and got two extra copies made up while I was
at it. Black heavy covers, white "comb" binding. (wide flat plastic)
nice clear single sided copies, good quality. So if anyone wants a
copy, lemme know and its yours shipped for $15. If this is stepping
on any official sales of the gold book, then let me know and it will
end. . If its not and there is interest, I can make more for anyone.

thanks, looking forward to . . whatever comes up!
