The diabolical Dr Probe told me years ago that the PS's had to be
checked and trimmed for +/- 12.000 v
also, to keep oscillators tracking right. That means using an
especially accurate DVM. So if you're homebrewing the power supply
that's one more consideration. I don't know what the tolerance of
off-the shelf Power One's is.
If the voltage is not bang-on, the synth will power up and play but it
won't be in spec and the Osc's might be a bit sour.
