The filters are quite excellant, especially the VCF2. The only thing i've found so far that i just had to have outside of Serge filters was Pauls 410, which Cynthia has ported over to the banana format. Combine a couple of those with a VCF2 and proper on panel mixing and you have some serious flavors with which to spike the stew.

I own Serge, Modcan and Buchla, and can sincerely tell you that Serge
surpasses all the others! It's got a more compact size, and you can
get a one-panel dense system like the Animal to whet your appetite.
The Serge filters are wonderful, especially if you already own a real
Moog (I have a Voyager). My four-panel system has the VCFQ, VCFS and
VCF2 plus the EQ, and I also have a frequency shifter (incredible!).
I would recommend a Blue Funstation with a Red CV panel and a TKB.
As for the Buchla: software is not quite ready, although already some
of these modules are superb (I love the triple resonator filter, the
LPG and the Source of Uncertainty).
