FS Serge Modular panel. The configuration left to right is:
NTO New Timbral Oscillator
PCO Precision Controlled Oscillator
VCFQ Voltage Controlled Filter with Voltage Controlled Resonance
VCM -Wave Multiplier
DSG Dual Universal Slope Generator
QVCA- Quad VCA (discontinued module)
This is a 1980's era tan panel, with paper front panel overlayed with
transparent plastic. It works 100%.
Some of the pots are scratchy. This is most noticeable with the Quad
VCA pots, which sometimes make a loud scratching sound at the output
of the module when they are turned. The pots have been sprayed a few
times over the years, this has discolored the paper label a bit in
some places (see photos). Last time I sprayed the pots it did not
really bring them back to life, so I am thinking it is time to
replace some of them.
The Panel has some low-tech useful mods. These are:
Attenuator pot added for resonance voltage control input of filter Q.
Attenuator pot added for voltage control input of middle wave
multiplier.
Attenuator pot added for voltage control input of lower wave
multiplier.
(All added attenuator pots are installed where the input jack used to
be, and the input jack is moved to a newly-drilled hole.)
Cycle switches added to DSG.
Bipolar outputs added to DSG. (I think there are large capacitors
decoupling the normal DSG outputs to create these bipolar outs.)
