Re: Serge Wiard owners

Well the systems are pretty different but the functionality of the Envelator,
the Mixolator, the Classic VCO, and the Filter can all be found on a Serge
system somewhere (one can argue about the Classic VCO and the Filter I suppose -
all VCOs and Filters are a little different and there is much subjectivity
involved when it comes to those items in modulars). Now the three modules
that are the most profoundly different from anything on a Serge are the
Borg Filter, the Waveform City, and the Woogle Bug. The Sequentizer is a
very unique sequencer also but the TKB is very powerful and can cover most
of the Sequentizers functionality (and a great deal more). The Sequentizer does
have CV selectable stages and has an on board gate controlled glide. It also
has on board quantization and CV controlable octave up and down.

The Serge doesn't have vactrol filters that can be used as low pass gates
(the Borg Filter is such a device). The Serge doesn't provide any wave table
synthesis/transfer function modules (the Waveform City is such a device).
The Serge does have random voltage sources and smooth and stepped function
generators but they are nothing like the Woogle Bug, and there is nothing on
a Serge system that will do the very strange "Phase Locked Loop" sort of audio
chaos that the Bug will do.

BTW I love both systems.
