Re: Serge Wiard owners

2007-03-02 by Bill Sequeira

It never crossed my mind to go tropical on my Wiard and wouldn't do
it now either. :-)

The Dual Joystick comes with 4x format converters/multiples that I
use often, and my Serge system has one panel with 8x 1/8" -> banana
adaptors. I use these to go back and forth between the systems.

The Dual Joystick also has a banana ground that can be hooked to the
Serge PSU to provide common ground for both systems.

The Wiard is a 10v system so I would recommend attenuation in between
to be on the safe side, but other than that you should be ok.

My tendency is to use each system as a separate instrument, and I
don't mix them as often as I thought I would. Maybe a consequence of
having a complete 300 series system instead of single modules, but I
have found their system philosophy different enough that when in the
Wiard world I wiard, and when in the Serge world I serge, if that
makes any sense.

[Mike! - Glad to hear the TX802 found a good home after all :-) -
talked to Jack some time ago and he was in Austin having a good time
- with the inevitable comparison between Austin and Berkeley - he
sounded like he was in the Alamo surrounded by everyone else - ;-) -
we should get him on the horn and see what he is doing to TX these
days ]

Regards,

Bill
