Following on from Sebastian's suggestion to patch the filter into the wave
multiplier here is a little patch to try.
I've done similar things like this before but never using the VCM as the
last module.
It's a kind of a feedbackish effect and can sound very distorted or cleaner
depending on where you place the controls. I'll upload an MP3 as soon as I
figure out how to do it.
3 x Osc into Audio Mixer.
(I used 2 x Fenix Osc, both Sawtooth with one Osc pitched to a harmonic of
the fundamental pitch. The third Osc was an NTO, variable output slanted
towards the Tri wave....the furthest left wave shape anyway. This was
pitched at the root note but in recording the sound I tweaked the 'fine
tune' to create some 'beating' and more distortion).
Audio Mixer into Vari-Q Filter.
(Q at 11 o'clock, filter frequency just past 11 and VCF set to 3 o'clock.
The input of the VCF (modulation) was from a slow attack envelope).
Filter LPF Output into bottom Wave Shaper input 1.
(The same envelope as before into voltage control input. Amount of vc barely
on, 9 o'clockish. Output 2 to UAP input.
UAP controlled by envelope with faster attack time than envelope 1, plus a
little release to 'relax' the sound of at the end.
With a note input from say a midi to cv you should be getting a feedback
like tone. You can use the second WaveMultiplier and/or another VCM output
and get the same effect. Some of the distortion seems to be controlled by
the frequency of the filter.
