Hi Amnesia,
Mouser has the lm3900's and the NTE 3080 equivalent in stock. I found
these by going to mouser.com and typing "lm3900", then "CA3080" into
the search box at the home page. Jameco also has the 3900's and digi-
key probably does as well. The 3080's hgave been discontinued for some
time, but are still widely available from many smaller and boutique
electronics suppliers. Small Bear electronics is one such place that
has them and supports synth and stompbox DIY. futurlec.com is another
source.
As Steve correctly mentioned the 3900 in dip package is what you need.
But you can easily use either the can or dip type 3080. Some have said
that the dip 3080's have empirically shown better offset specs than the
earlier can types. I've seen both types in use on serge PCB's. The
3080 also came in different suffixes. 3080A and 3080E are two which
seem to be specificaly mentioned in synth schematics. The A type is
held to tighter specs and a wider temperature range. Here's a datasheet:

Kind regards, Randal
