Certain future M-class series will include bipolar outputs that provide the functionality you desire. Current shop panels that offer this include the Red and Blue CV panels, via modules such as the Dual Slope Generator and Quadrature Oscillator.
There is no intention by Rex to create exclusive groups of M-class users and shop panel / custom panel owners. The various products can (and should) be used together. So for a given client the appropriate solution may be some combination of M-boats (Creature and Gator, for example) and shop panels (i.e. Soup 2 and Blue CV).
Rex can accomodate certain minor custom requests (such as bipolar outputs in place of signal inputs) on shop panels, but to do this within the M-class would defeat the primary concept: to provide an affordable format for people to start or expand their Serge system,
while advancing the state of STS into a 21st century business that allows Rex to support the paradigm and all of us over the coming decades.
