What you have is actually a [PS12], denoted by the four 5-pin "XLR" connectors. (The [PS6] has two). The PS12 can power up to 12 panels (the PS6, 6 panels).
What you'll need to connect your M-boat to the [PSD], running off the [PS12], is a [PBX] "Power Braid Extender" cable (18" long) OR a [PBXL] "Power Braid Extender Long" same except (24" in length). These are $ 20 / $ 25 each, respectively. No [PS2a] is required for his configuration.

let'say i want to buy a serge m-boat with an SQP
m-odule (and later add one more m-odule).
can i power the m-boat from my serge PS6 (i think its
a ps6 because its big and has 4 XLR sockets on the
front, must be a ps6, right?)
now my ps6 powers 5 panels, so i still can power one
more serge panel...
i am asking that in order to save a bit of money from
buying a ps2a that i now do not need (yet...).
any info is valuable!
if yes, do i need an extra cable to connect my serge
distroboard (that i think its called PSD) to the
m-boat?
does this cable come with the m-boat?
thanks in advance,
best regards, :-)
Bakis.
