Re: animal panel

2008-05-11 by Gene Schwartz

there was a post a week or so ago about an available animal panel, which appeared to come directly from sts.

I subsequently sent my email to that address, got a response from Rex, and we talked for about a half an hour.

So contact is made. Trying to sell my Q+, and really lusting after a tkb right now.

who are you trying to get in contact with?
everyone here is quite friendly. : )

oops - quite sorry. Meant as a private email!

Hi - I assume from your email that you work for sts? Forgive me if
not....

I'm reluctant to call up with vague questions at this point, but maybe
you wouldn't mind answering a few brief ones via email.

I do have some experience w/Serge stuff - I bought a 4 panel system
from Rex in 1997. Very unfortunately, I had to sell the whole thing in
2001, due to an extended unemployment. I've been able to build up a
nice modcan/cynthia system this year (sent that route initially, since
I was offered a nice trade to start out, and then just built it
further).

So forgive the history - I've had in the back of my mind that I want
to start building some Serge stuff into this system when convenient.

I may sell something which would give me some $, and so I'm wondering
things like the following...

What is the current price on an animal panel and what are the current
wait times? I also have to figure in a case and power...How much is
the down payment - how does that all work? I'm sure that the price is
beyond what I'll have right now, but I can probably fill in the rest
in June....

Other possibilities would be one or two of the new m class (hmmm - are
they called modules or panels?).... 2 of them with power might come in
at less than the animal panel anyway (?), and that might be a very
cool option.

Another possibility would be that sequencer, which I've always lusted
after (blanking out right now - the tkb?).

In any case, I'd appreciate this info, or if you don't really work for
them, well, a polite 'go away' would be fine :)

Thanks,
Gene
