Wiard 1209B joystick controller with bananas...

2002-12-04 by seqbill

Just got a couple of these 9v battery powered joysticks. V ery
nice. The panel has trigger/v/h outs and a ground out.

The case is made of thick plywood with a simulated rock cover.

Nice weight, size, and texture. Perfect to hold in your hand.

Joystick outputs are 50mv to 5 volts, gate at 6.6v, compatible with
5v range synths. Gate risetime = 1ms. No attenuators.

Worked great with my Serge and Fenix. Have not tried with
Modcan yet.

Pics on the Wiard site.

Regards,

Bill

I'd like to mod my Asys joystick for this type of portability and would like to add a button controlled trigger output. it sounds as easy as adding a 5v voltage regulator right off the power supply, then gating the signal with a button. is it that easy? sounds that easy...

Hi Bill,

The WIARD joysticks are great... However, the lack of
scalable attenuators make them difficult to use
whenever precision is required ( the range is too big)!

Sincerely,

Hi Blake,

Yes, it is very easy to do. For instructions, go to my
webpage (Analog Cottage) then go to "The DEN" and look
for the page " articles.htm".

Bye

Andre'

I believe the assumption is that you would attenuate using your
modular's resources or through a complementary module. Then again this
particular version of the Joysticks has been optimized to work with
Serge, so they differ from the original Wiard Dual Joystick Controller.
