PDN/ Re: [SergeModular] Re: What is a Frequency Shifter?

: I haven't heard of anyone making a PDN module for a modular synth
: system, but if there was one, you could probably patch up your own
: frequency shifter manually using a PDN, two ring mods, a quadrature
: oscillator and a mixer.

As Dan Slater enlightened me the Buchla model 196 phase shifter is a
broadband
phase delay network, or dome filter. According to Buchla, in the range from
5 to 20000 Hz the accuracy of the quadrature relationship warps from 85 to
95 degrees. What sort of negative effect exactly does this have? Inreliable
response, higher carrier signal bleedthrough?
