xfade as inverter...

xfade as inverter...

2005-05-26 by James Coplin

Probably some (maybe most) here know this but it was news to me so I thought
I'd share.

The second input on the xfad module inverts the input. This can be annoying
when using certain audio or a feature depending on how you exploit it. It
is really nice to feed a fairly complex cv into *both* inputs 1 and 2 and cv
fading across the inputs. You get a nice smooth transition between the cv
and it's evil twin. Makes for some really nice cv stuff that breaks up the
regularity of the original. Especially fun with outputs from the waveshaper
or wavemultiplier. Enjoy!

Actually, that's backwards. The first input inverts, the second input does
not.

Both inputs on the Dual VCA invert the input signal.
