Roger Powell Flashback 1975

I was just contacted by a friend of Roger's, about the Serge track, and
had a delightful flashback.
Roger Powell was Artist-in-Residence for Moog Music, and he was
traveling the country doing public demo's.
He came to a local town and I bugged my mom to drive me there (I was 15).
He had Mini's to demonstrate, and a pretty big portable modular system
with sequencers blinking away.
When it was time for Q&A I stood up and asked him about the sequential
switch - he made a humorous remark about my 'obviously knowing my
stuff'.... a delightful memory! He also demonstrated the 'talk box' -
the speaker with the rubber hose thing you stuck in your mouth to make
formant sounds. He waved it around the room, it made a buzzing noise
out the end of it. He said we were all now 'sterilized' !
