A disturbance in the force? - Serge VCS in Doepfer format?

This is the first time I've come across something like this:

"A limited number of orders are currently being accepted for the new
Bananalogue Serge VCS
Module. The module is a modern adaptation of Serge Tcherepnin's
classic Universal Slope
Generator. The module was developed by Ken Stone and Seth Nemec, with
Serge's
permission"

I thought Serge wasn't in it anymore, and that Rex was the man now.

What's going on? I feel I'm living in a world where everything is not
as it was before, and
people throw ducks at balloons!

It's true, Serge isn't in it anymore. Though if he never "sold" the circuit designs to Rex,
what's to say that these designs cannot reappear in today's market?

There's a lot more to it, and some of it isn't very nice to talk about on a public forum.

It is interesting though, that for a company called Bananalog, that they produce a module
without banana jacks... Perhaps they will offer it both ways? Perhaps they will offer more
modules in the future? Perhaps buying your modules one at a time is a really good idea after all?
