and now, for another question -- is much amplification or attenuation
needed when bringing in a line-level signal from, e.g., a VA synth or
PC audio interface output?

No, not really - but the PRNV is nice because of the envelope follower. Plus it can take a hi-z dynamic mic straight in.

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
