Do you know the owner of this Serge?

Do you know the owner of this Serge?

2006-09-07 by Jan-Hinnerk Helms

Hi,

I am looking to have a special metal casing built for my 3 panel
Serge. I quite like the one you see here:

http://homepage.mac.com/jhhelms/PhotoAlbum13.html

I'd like to know more about the metalwork involved, so if you know
how to contact the owner, please let me know.

P.S. I became father of a beautiful baby girl earlier this year :-)
No Serge time since then. So my sincere apologies to everyone,
especially Chris Sawyer, for being somewhat unresponsive. I'll catch
up…!

Hi,

Since I took the picture I happen to know who used to own the Serge.
I don't know who originally owned it but at the time the picture was
taken it had been recently owned by Grant Richter and restored by him.
The synth was in the process of being passed from Grant onto Darwin
Grosse (who later sold it to someone from Canada I believe). I don't
think Grant did the metal work, but he could have (since he has done
some very nice cases in the past - mostly out of wood though). You
can contact him through the Wiard site (wiard.com) and ask him about
it.

BTW the group is MEME (the Midwest Electronic Music Ensemble).

Hi Joe,

thanks for your kind words! The Lego stands were the easiest way to find out the ideal (at
least for me) angle between my Serge panels. Quite a shaky construction, but it did do the
trick. Now if I could only decide between 30 and 35 degrees…LOL!

Looks like you are Joe who sold me his Animal back in 2003, right? Hope all is well!

Best,
Jan-Hinnerk
