Taking offers on two Oakland panels

Taking offers on two Oakland panels

2007-05-31 by paradigmshiftbeats

For the better part of two years I've been deliberating over how
to "finish" my Serge system by ordering a custom panel or two to
reconfigure its module layout. It is time now to poop or get off
the pot, so I'm going to post the two panels below for offers. If
one of these fits your needs very well, and you're in a position to
buy within the next couple of weeks, please feel free to contact me
with what the panel is worth to you. If your interest is merely
voyeuristic in nature, please don't waste my time as I have enough
going on this week. I have photos that I will be happy to send to
anyone to fulfill their curiosity later, but please wait a couple of
weeks before e-mailing for these unless you're serious about buying.

Because I don't want to be jerked around, if I don't already know
and trust you, I may ask for a modest non-refundable deposit from
anyone who claims they are prepared to buy a panel at a price that
is acceptable to me, but that's only to offset my opportunity costs
if I order custom panels from Rex based on the agreed-to sale and
due to a back-out have to cover the purchase through other means.
I'm not trying to be a jerk here - several list members can vouch
that I'm a very fair trader and one or two may even consider me a
pretty swell guy! And I also practice what I preach, having made a
similar deposit to another list member for a panel a few years ago.

Without further ado, here are the panel layouts (left-to-right):

"VOICE" PANEL

Scaling Buffers
Active Processor
Precision VCO
Precision VCO
Ring Modulator
Divide by N Comparator
Variable Slope VCF
Variable Bandwidth VCF
Dual Phaser
Smooth/Stepped Generator

There is a custom switch to sync the two oscillators without a patch
cord. Latest price list I have from Rex indicates this layout would
cost $4175 new.

"CV" PANEL

Quantizer (TKB)
Analog Shift Register
Analog Shift Register
Pulse Divider
Dual Transient Generator (with "Sig in" jacks)
Scaling Processor
CV Mixer
Active Processor
Dual Slope Generator
Extended ADSR

This Quantizer does have the cable to connect internally to a TKB.
Latest price list I have from Rex indicates this layout would cost
$3920 new.

Both panels are mid-90s STS Oakland, in perfect working order. If
needed, I have a spare PS2 power supply I could include in a deal.

I appreciate the bandwidth.
