Using one PS4 to power two distribution boards

Using one PS4 to power two distribution boards

2007-12-28 by riluttante

Hi everyone,

I'm looking for a way to send power from one PS4 to two distribution boards...

I'm using a four-panel portable system. The panels are mounted in a custom-built
flightcase consisting of two halves of equal depth, with two panels in each half. Each of
these half-cases have a power distribution board inside it, and they're placed side-by-
side for performance.
When I take the system on the road, I'd like to use a single PS4 to power it.

For a picture of the system, please look here:

Would it be possible to run a cable from one distribution board to another, and connect
the PS4 to one of them, to send power to both?

Or are there Y-cables for the power supplies?

Thanks for any suggestions!

Thomas

Probably the easiest would be to construct a Y-splitter, as I have
never heard of one being available as a standard part.

Suggest having a quick conversation with Rex to make sure that power
distribution and load balance (or imbalance for that matter) won't
have a negative effect on the PSD's performance/output uniformity.

Cheers -- Bill
