This is an interesting question, Patrice. I might be able to find your answer
as I've been feeling nostalgic and have my Roland TD-7 kit triggering my
loaded SDS-V via MTM. I'm using the synth inputs on the 'V' and have a fair range
of dynamics. Do you have a manual?

  >>>>>>> I do have a manual wich never sounded as much esoteric as I could have imagined ...

Because you may have to alter
  1) The way in
which MTM recieves the trigger from Hexabugs and/or
  2) the way MTM transmits
  trigger to 'V'.

  >>>>>>>>>< It's what I thought, & it's where ....
I do have to dive in this manual ... I think , but I have an headache after a few seconds each time I try ...
I will have soem aspirin , & I go back to it !

The book is very "wordy" and cryptic but may offer the answer
  you need.

  >>>>>><I didn't find yet , but I try again ...

If the wiring scheme is at fault you may have to update your early
model SDS-V to meet the rest of civilization. I think they stopped the backward
wiring after serial # 250 anyway.
  >>>>>>>>> I've seen that information about an SDS7 in its manual , I didn't know about the "V" !?

  >>>>>>>>Anyway , thanks for your help & your experience,
  Patrice.
