Hi! > I have a Polysix for about 22 years now and it is still the first battery. I have checked it only last week and will have replaced it in the next days... What a lucky guy am I? 22 years with the first battery and no leakage... :-) I guess you've used it and not just kept it then! ;) My OSCar is like that too, have had a battery chance, but that was just out of precaution. > I just had my SDS7 checked that I bought with "no function" and we found out that there is no battery inside... someone must have taken it out and did not replace it... OK, that's another way avoiding leckages... ;-) Sure is... a few years ago I bought a "dead" SDS-V on german Ebay. Everything looked fine until I realised that the power switch was dead. 1.50 worth of euro at the local electronics store and the "dead" SDS-V was up and running again. So, there are many SDS's out there that needs a loving hand, but I guess many of them goes into the local dumpster. :\ufffd( electronically yours, jesper - -- --- ---- ----- ---- --- -- - www.electronic-obsession.se
