Vintage Simmons Drums (UK) Users Group

I havent posted here for a while, but was hoping somebody might be able 
to point me in  the right direction. I have a Portakit (1988 Ver. 1 
upon powering up)that up until last year worked perfectly. The problem 
I am having is that I cant get it out of the power up screen. I turn it 
on , tells me which version it is, then beeps---------then does 
nothing. I cant get any red-or green LEDS to light up either. Anybody 
have any suggestions? Is there away to re-intialize, maybe? I should 
say I used  an Alesis D-4 for the better part of 15 years with it! I 
just love the FSR pads. I havent played an acoustic kit in around 
20years.  I trigger some regular Simmons pads with an Alesis DM-Pro. I 
use a Roland( with a Pearl Eliminator pedal)Bass kick (KD-8) and, an 
old Kik Kat bass trigger with a DW-7000 pedal. (I have a small 
collection of old simmons SD-S1s (with some orginal e-proms), and an 
SDE---that truly has never been used more than hour.). I have just been 
digging out some of the old equipment hoping to get it all working. Any 
help would be GREATLY appreciated! Sorry for the ramble, Thanks again
