Hi when I bought my SDS-8 set here in New Zealand in the mid 80's, it came with Pearl hardware, the double-braced leg variety the same as in the picture. These were adequate and sturdy. regards, Gwyn From: niclinn75 <niclinn75@...> To: Simmons_Drums@yahoogroups.com Sent: Wednesday, 15 June 2011 12:44 AM Subject: [Simmons Drums] Best stands Hi everyone I've just acquired a battered sds9 brain and pads (black) all in a bit of a state and needing a bit of TLC! I've taken the shells off and am having them professionally sprayed yellow :) the brain is with a technician friend getting fixed, I just need to buy some stands (I got a frame with it but its in bad condition and i never liked the frames, much prefer the stands) what are the best stands? what are the ones used in this picture are they just regular pearl double tom stands? http://www.simmonsmuseum.com/?area=pads&view=details&id=4&page=&orderby= I saw these on ebay , just not sure the tom arm reach is as long http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/7-8-PEARL-TYPE-TOM-STAND-tomtom-tom-drum-kit-cymbal-/290355762761?pt=UK_Musical_Instruments_Drums_Percussions_MJ&hash=item439a8d5649#ht_3851wt_907 Thanks for your help Nathan [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
