serial numbers (now with compiled list)

2011-09-02 by jesper

Hi,

here's the results of the Simmons owners inventory... with comments from
yours truly. I decided not to go for a database but to include the
highest and lowest serials known. Brackets indicate model number
included in serial.

SDS-I (prototype)	1
SDS-1 (1)0405-2290
SDS-II (prototype)	1
SDS-III 0098-0160
SDS-IV (4)193
SDS-V (MusicAid)	0002-0078
SDS-V 581-6624
SDS-6 109
SDS-7 (7)0001-2536
SDS-8 (8)0362-4133
SDS-9 208-3928 (7090?) (misread 1 for a 7?)
SDS-200 2809
SDS-400 1143
SDS-800 1420-2347
SDS-1000 (M)4025-7898
SDS-2000 397-734
SDX 19-170
MTX-9 0523-2159
Trixer 1464
TMI 1029
MTM 114-846
ADT 370
EPB 665-880
SPM 8:2 771-2640
SDE 3085
Portakit 197
Silicon Multimallet	366
ClapTrap (mk1) 007-384
ClapTrap (mk2) 713
ClapTrap (mk3)

So, a few of my guesses was way off it seems. But some quite good.
SDS-III and SDS-IV were not as rare as expected but I guess we can
assume many are lost today.

Cool to see the second SDS-V and the first SDS-7 ever on the list!

Very few SDS-6 out there. WT, we need your digits too...

EPB's have a suspiciously narrow span. Anything lower available?

ClapTrap mk2 has a typewriter typed label below. Same as early wooden
pads and it's hard to read but I'm quite positive it's 713.

Keep'em coming and I'll update the list...
