The second one sounds much more musical to me. I really like the sound of the attack. The first one feels weaker and more gimmicky than the second because the filter resonance is so pronounced. I would use the first sound sparingly as a "disco tom" where dynamics aren't so important, but the dynamics in the second one seem very useful. all my best, - Scott
