Hi, the SDS-9 is famous for it's failures. Are you sure that the brain is intact? It sounds like the mysterious problems are (sadly) typical SDS-9 issues... I have none myself so I have not much help to offer, but I have read a _lot_ of testimonies from owners of faulty SDS-9s. Hopefully some of these guys are here to help.
