Vintage Simmons Drums (UK) Users Group

Hi group members,
I just recieved an email (adressed to "undisclosed-recipients") from
"Jeff Biegert". Somehow it looks like a Newsgroup posting, it is
adressed to Patrice and offers SDX schematics. I don't know wether the
content is a fake or not, but there's a virus attached
(patrice.doc.pif). In case anybody else has recieved this email: Do
not open the attachement unless you want to kill your Windows system.

PS: If the SDX schematics do exist: LET ME KNOW!

ADT schematics are on their way to Paul...

I've got the SDX schematics too - huge job to scan them but hopefully 
when I get my stuff out of storage (moving house...) I'll get them 
done.

I sort of agree with Patrice, at least in one way, *IF* the rights to them
are still owned by someone we should contact them first and obtain
permission before putting them up.
But I do think they *should* go up, I'm afraid I don't agree with people
charging LOTS of money for schematics, and, as has been said, often very
poor quality ones.
At the end of the day, the only people who are going to want simmons
schematics are owners with broken simmons gear, if they feel they have to
pay silly money to get their gear mended, they may decide not to, and just
throw it in the bin. Its not like someone is going to re-manufacture them,
because to build a new SDX would be too costly these days.

But I also don't want them to be re-sold, which is why I put a page on the
end of every PDF saying that it was downloaded from simmons.synth.net and
shouldn't be re-sold.

Just my thoughts.

 The ADT pictures are up on Simmons.Synth.Net, I need to "join" the parts of
the schematics, so I'll do that Monday, I'll update the page with a link to
the them once that¹s done.
