Hi!

SDS-V anyday!!! The digital crunch of the SDS-7 and the likes are cool, but
the V is punchier!

AFAIK the 7 is all digital with sounds on prom. (I have the manual.) SDS-V
is all digital apart from cymbal and hihat which is prom based... SDS-V
kicks ass and is only rivaled by my Pearl Syncussion SY-1.
For crunchy Simmons I use two SDS-1, basically the same design as the 7 but
cheaper and cooler looking! =)

Haha,

the 7 has one analog oscillator, one digital oscillator ( eprom ), one noise source, one click source and one analog filter.

  Haha,

the 7 has one analog oscillator, one digital oscillator ( eprom ), one
noise
source, one click source and one analog filter.

      Hi!

      > Which is better: the analogue SDSV or the hybrid SDS7? Or perhaps
      > other think they're both pants!

SDS-V anyday!!! The digital crunch of the SDS-7 and the likes are
cool,
    but
      the V is punchier!

      > And which is more flexible to use. I own and use a 12 module SDS7
and
      > know a fan of Simmons who owns an SDSV. He reckons the oscillators

      > all!

AFAIK the 7 is all digital with sounds on prom. (I have the manual.)
  SDS-V
is all digital apart from cymbal and hihat which is prom based...
SDS-V
kicks ass and is only rivaled by my Pearl Syncussion SY-1.
For crunchy Simmons I use two SDS-1, basically the same design as the
7
    but
      cheaper and cooler looking! =)
