Available cases

Available cases

2008-03-27 by redeagle3061

Looking for a case for my SDS9 Simmons set. I already found a
case for the brain but looking for some type of case for the
pads. Anyone have a suggestion on where I can find one, case mfg
and rough cost. I've looked all over and keep finding ones that are
far to large or too small. I'm looking to transport them together
in once case if possible and of course the case needs to be padded.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks for your help in advance.
Lynne

I know of a great case manufacturer located in Uzbekistan and another in
south China. Would those be of any interest ?

I own an SDS-8, SDS-7 and SDX. Years ago, Beato made padded bags
specifically for Simmons pads. I bought several of them. As my collection
of pads expanded and the Beato bags were no longer available, I went with
foam-lined tom-tom cases (my stuff is in storage right now, but I believe I
bought 10 x 14 tom cases). I purchased sheets of foam (3/4" if I recall)
and inserted the sheets of foam between the Simmons pads in the tom case.

Oh......

it is made of old planks from a fence with some cast ironcladding on the
outer edges.

Wheels from an old toy truck and handles from kitchencupboards !

WT - I guess the irony didn\ufffdt come through..........

Thanks for the idea. I'll have to do some digging on the Beato bags
to see what I can come up with. If not then I'll have to make my own
which I was trying to avoid. I'll look into the tom case as well.
Thanks again for the input.
