A step into the lion's cage....

A step into the lion's cage....

voila, the V-immons kit is finished:

But before you blame me for destroying vintage white SDSV pads, let me
state that all steps can be reversed. Even the original riot shield
surface has been replaced.
The funniest critics I already got is the comparism with the genetic
mouse with the human ear stitched on her back.

soon for sale on your local GS ???
hahaha, kidding!
looks great!
How is the feeling while playing, has it changed compared to how it was?

like better stick response or triggerdynamics etc.

The feeling is just like drumming on a set of high tuned 10 inch toms:
pretty ok. The dynamics are also pretty ok, much much better than any
dynamics Simmons has ever offered. But there's still headroom. At the
moment the triggers are located close to the edge. Hi-end mesh pads
have the trigger mounted right in the center on a weird construction.
Just like this:

So this will be the next step

I can see why you do it - from a drummers point of view. Still stylish...
I'm building a different setup now with Pollard, Pearl Syncussion and
SDS-3/4 pads. Looks retro and nice and the aching hands thing is no
issue anymore. But... the best thing is that it takes up far less space
and I have more surfaces to hit! :D
